Research Opportunities for GT Students

Georgia Tech undergraduate students can apply for research opportunities offered under the supervision of ISyE faculty. Tens of ISyE undergraduates engage in research projects each semester. You can click below to explore undergraduate research positions posted by ISyE faculty. Whether the research opportunity is for credit or for pay, you must have a permit to register for research, but first apply to the position and get approved by the faculty research advisor to work with their group.

Research Award Programs

The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) offers different paid undergraduate research opportunities in the summer, fall, and spring semesters. In the summer, we offer a 10-week summer program during which  undergraduate students conduct full-time independent research under the direction of an ISyE faculty mentor. The summer program is open to all students. In the fall and spring semesters, ISyE offers the IE- PURA, a salary stipend to ISyE undergraduate students who are conducting research with an ISyE faculty member.
